The Latta Vikings defeated the McBee Panthers 54-19 for win number 3 this season to remain undefeated.
Latta had 296 rushing yards on 36 carries and 97 passing yards. Latta’s Fisher Richardson rushed 19 times for 152 yards for an 8-yard average per carry and 4 touchdowns. Irangabiye Johnson carried 10 times for 152 yards for a 9.8-yard average per carry and a touchdown. Jayden Alford carried 3 times for 15 yards and had 2 receptions for 75 yards. Gavin Auburn carried 2 times for 9 yards. Hayden Bullard carried 1 time for 21 yards. Luke Huggins carried for a yard on 1 carry for a touchdown and completed 3 of 6 passes for 97 yards and a touchdown. Joe’Maurie had a reception for 22 yards.
Latta’s defense: Crishawn Kollock and Gavin Aubin each had 3 solo tackles. Hayden Bullard, and Michael Butler each had 2 solo tackles. Xy’Mari Bethea had 7 solo tackles. Kayden Rogers had 2 solo tackles and a sack. Rylon Gurley had 6 tackles. Lyden Hayes, Jaheem McCormick, and Omar Burch-Reeves each had a solo tackle. Joe-Maurie Galloway had 3 solo tackles. Zamarion Monroe had 8 tackles, a sack, and a tackle for a loss. Anthony Williams and Josiah Durant each had an interception.
Latta’s Head Football Coach is Brandon Iseman. The assistant coaches are Mike Donald who is in charge of the defensive backs, Freddie Sawyer is the offensive coordinator, Brandon Page is the defensive linemen coach, Robbie Brown is the wide receivers, and Chris Page is the running backs coach.
Latta will be on the road this Friday, September 12, to face Mullins at 7:30 p.m.
The Mullins coaching staff consists of Head Coach March Lowery who will be calling the plays. Assistant Coach Donald Brown will coach the wide receivers while Tony Nelson is the defensive backs coach. Aykelle Cross is the defensive line coach, and Jeremy Oxendine is coaching the linebackers and running backs. Coach Kamrone McAllister is new to the Mullins coaching staff this year.
Latta will be on the road to Mullins this Friday, September 12, to face the Mullins Auctioneers at 7:30 p.m.
McBee will travel to Buford High School in Lancaster this Friday, September 12, for a 7:30 p.m. game.
