DILLON – Robert Daniel Ward, 69, died at McLeod Medical Center in Dillon May 8, 2026. Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2026 in the Kannaday Funeral Home Chapel in Dillon with interment in Greenlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service in the Funeral Home and Chapel.
Robert was born in Rutherfordton, NC, January 27, 1957 the son of the late Cecil Darcy Ward and Betty Jo Teseniar Ward. He retired as General Manager of Bermuda Sands Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC. After retiring he moved here to Dillon, SC. He enjoyed working in his yard and gardening. He was of the Christian faith.
Robert is survived by his life’s partner Kenneth D. Tyndall of Dillon, SC; sisters, Lori Carter ((Ben) of Clarksville, GA and Denise Gamble of Rutherfordton, NC; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Leah Amendola of Myrtle Beach, SC. He was predeceased by a sister, Deanna (DeDe) Ward.
