The Green Sea Floyds shut out the Lake View Wild Gators 2-0 in varsity baseball playoffs on Friday, May 8, in Lake View.
This was the first game of the season that Lake View did not score.
Bryce King was on the mound for Lake View. He pitched 7 innings and allowed 2 hits, 2 runs that were not earned, 1 walk, and struck out 10 of the 25 batters he faced.
Lake View’s Holden Lee connected for a double and a single in his 3 at-bats. Bryce King had a single and was hit by a pitch in his 3-plate appearances. C. Moody had a single in his 3 at-bats.
Lake View committed 1 error in the game.
Green Sea Floyd’s #14Tristan Coffin, arrived safely at first on an error to begin the top of the sixth inning. Logan Carteret had a sac bunt to move Coffin to second. Rooster Philips garnered a walk to place base runners on first and second. Caden Rowell hits a grounder between short and second and a run scored. Jack Shelley hit a sac fly to center to score the second run of the top of the sixth inning.
Caden Rowell was on the mound for the Trojans. He pitched 7 innings and allowed 4 hits and no runs to pick up the win.
