The Dillon Christian School Lady Warriors shut out the King’s Academy Lady Lions in varsity softball played in Florence on Friday, April 24.
The Warriors scored a run in the top of the first inning, added a run in the top of the fourth inning, added 2 runs in the top of the sixth inning, and 4 runs in the top of the seventh inning to claim the win.
The Warriors’ Lilli Shooter pitched 7 innings, 2 hits, no earned runs, walked no one, and struck out 12 of the 24 batters she faced.
DCS garnered 9 hits including a home run by Lilli Shooter. She picked up a rbi and scored a run in her 4 at-bats. The King’s Academy connected for 2 hits.
The Warriors’ Braylin Carter had 3 singles and scored 3 runs in her 4 at-bats. Kaidyn Richardson garnered a walk and picked up a rbi in her 4-plate appearances. Madelyn Willis was hit by a pitch and picked up a rbi in her 5-plate appearances. Fraley Britt had a single, was hit by a pitch, and scored a run in her 5-plate appearances. Kara Hunt had a single, a walk, and scored a run in her 4-plate appearances. Presley McKenzie had a single, a walk, and was hit by a pitch in her 5 at-bats. Story Lane had a double a single, a walk and scored 2 runs in her 4-plate appearances.
Dillon Christian School stole 10 bases in the game with Fraley Britt with 4 stolen bases, Braylin Carter with 2, Lilli Shooter with 2, and Presley McKenzie and Story Lane each with 1.
