The long-awaited details of how to apply for the funds from the Paul Bruhn Historic Revitalization Grant that the Dillon Community Alliance was awarded some time ago have been released.
In August 2023, the DCA announced that it was awarded $750,000 that would pass through from the DCA to building and business owners in the historic commercial district. It is a reimbursable format and requires a match.
Stephanie Mitchell, Executive Director of the DCA, recently announced the application information.
Applications will be accepted from August 1-October 1, 2025 for grant awards ranging from $50,000-$200,000.
Eligible buildings are listed on the National Register of Historic Places as contributing to the Dillon Commercial Historic District
Eligible projects include but are not limited to facade repairs, masonry repairs, roof replacement/repairs, removal of hazardous material and architectural and engineering services, as well as construction costs that are permanent to the property and in accordance with the National Park Service and Secretary of the Interior’s preservation guidelines.
Eligible applicants include building owners or business owners with a current signed lease agreement with the permission of the building owner to apply for this grant.
Property owners must be willing to enter into a conservation easement agreement for a minimum of 10 years. A cash match is required at 20% of the requested grant funds.
This is a reimbursement only grant.

Please include the address of the property for which you are requesting grant funding. This is a competitive grant. DCA will have in person meetings for questions and additional discussion during the grant application process. You are strongly encouraged to attend these meetings but it is not a requirement of this grant.
