From The Dillon County Sheriff’s Office
On May 16, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., Sheriff Jamie Hamilton, deputies of the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office, County Council members, the County Administrator, Judge Lockemy, the Punishers Black Water Chapter LEMC (Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club), community members, and the families of Deputy John C. Williamson and Deputy Carroll J. Taylor came together to honor the lives and service of two fallen heroes.
Deputy John C. Williamson and Deputy Carroll J. Taylor tragically lost their lives in the line of duty in an automobile accident on April 11, 1986, while serving the citizens of Dillon County with courage and dedication.
We are proud to have partnered with the Punishers Black Water Chapter LEMC for this meaningful memorial tribute as we reflected on the legacy, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment of these deputies who gave their lives in service to others.
Their bravery and dedication to protecting Dillon County will never be forgotten, and their memory continues to live on through those who serve and remember them today.
Together, we remember.
