Three scholarships were awarded to Dillon student athletes on Thursday, May 21, at the Dillon High School Gym. The gym was the setting as usually these scholarships are awarded at the golf tournament at the City of Dillon Vivian Johnson Golf Course but the tournament has been postponed as the golf course is experiencing some issues.
Dillon Head Football Coach Kelvin Roller presented the awards.
The Coach Jackie Hayes Scholarship went to Daniel Capehart who will be attending Lenoir-Rhyne University. The Coach Gerald Reeves Scholarship went to Ethan Bakazan who will be attending North Greenville. The Paul Chapman Scholarship went to Kiele Pompey who be attending S.C. State.
