Dr. Christopher (Chris) H. Daniels dedication to emergency services began in 2020 (with earlier experience with a private ambulance company), and it has since become a cornerstone of his professional identity. Currently, he is actively engaged as an EMT in Elizabethtown, KY, where he has the privilege of providing immediate medical care and support during critical situations. Additionally, he serve as a Site Medical Coordinator with BluMine Health, a role that allows him to contribute to broader health and safety initiatives through coordination and leadership.
Prior to his current roles, he gained invaluable experience and perspective through his volunteer services as a Chaplain for Floyd Dale Rescue and Fire in Dillon County, SC. This experience, coupled with a brief but impactful tenure with the Dillon County Crisis Team, instilled in him a profound understanding of the emotional and spiritual needs of individuals and communities facing distress. His time in South Carolina, before relocating, truly shaped his approach to compassionate care.
Chris passion for service is also deeply rooted in his family’s legacy. His late grandfather, Fred A. Daniels, was a pioneering figure in emergency services in Dillon County, working with the ambulance service during a time when funeral homes were integral to emergency transport. His commitment extended even to his time at Mortuary College in Louisville, KY, where he continued to serve as a first responder. This familial history has always been a significant source of inspiration for him, highlighting the enduring call to care for others.
Beyond his first responder duties, his professional life is quite diverse, driven by a desire to contribute positively to society in various capacities. He is also a funeral director, which naturally complements his emergency service background, offering support during sensitive times. His intellectual pursuits extend to genealogy and history, allowing him to connect with and preserve the rich narratives of our communities. He is actively involved in numerous organizations, reflecting his belief in community engagement and collaborative effort. Furthermore, his faith is very important to him, and he appreciate the fellowship and service opportunities that come with being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Glasgow, KY Ward.
On a personal note, Chris is happily married to Kelli Smallwood-Daniels, and they reside in the lovely community of Cave City, KY.
