Growing Health Participants Learn All About Herbs

A group of people gathers around a table with potted plants, engaging in a hands-on gardening activity indoors.

Participants in the Dillon County Clemson Extension Growing Health class learned all about herbs. They planted their own herb tea gardens, which included lavender, mint, and basil. They also prepared their own herb and oil mixture which they dipped bread in for a delicious treat. This class was made possible through a grant from the Coastal District Garden Club Meeting Committee. Carmen Ketron and Justin Foxworth led the class. Chef David Longacre gave some tips during the cooking portion. (Photos by Betsy Finklea/The Dillon County News, LLC)
