On April 17 the Dillon Middle School Library sponsored the final Lunch Bunch Book Club meeting of the 2023-2024 school year. Students who were invited to participate had 1) signed up in the library to receive a copy of the book, 2) read the featured book, 3) passed a test on the featured book by the announced deadline, and 4) were one of the first 25 students to complete steps 1, 2, and 3.
April’s featured book was “The Legend of Greg” by Chris Rylander.
At the meeting students enjoyed a delicious pizza lunch and shared things they liked and disliked about the featured book. Mr. Travis Jackson provided the pizza and also gave the students a mini financial literacy lesson.
Each student who attended the Lunch Bunch meeting chose a book to keep as a door prize.
The Lunch Bunch Book Club, which began at J.V. Martin Junior High School during the 2004-2005 school year, is now in its 20th year!
