DCFD station 4 with mutal aid from DCFD 1 responded to a structure fire on Smitty La this afternoon. Engine41 arrived to find a 25’x30’ unattached garage (barn) fully involved. Crews from stations 4,1 made a quick offensive knock keeping the fire from spreading to any nearby buildings and yards. DCFD Tanker 1 provided water supply. A total of 16 volunteers were on scene along with Dillon County Sheriff’s office and Dillon County EMS. Great teamwork by all.
