The Heart 2 Heart Quintet led the worship service at Mount Calvary Baptist Church on Sunday, April 14, at the morning worship service at 10:30 a.m.
The service began with Miss Linda McKenzie with the Preparation for Service. Pastor Harold Cooke opened with prayer. An offering was taken.
The Mount Calvary congregation led by Mount Calvary Baptist Church Choir Director Gene Tanner, who was accompanied by Jimmy Tanner, Debbie Hill, and Bobbie Lee, sang “I Serve A Risen Savior”.
Until last year, Heart 2 Heart was a trio that was formed in 1998 in Cherryville, N.C. Last year, the Southern Gospel group became a Quintet when joined by Riley Dotson and his wife Ashleigh. Ashleigh is the younger daughter of David and Deana Kiser.
Pastor Harold Cooke introduced the Heart 2 Heart Quintet who first came to Mount Calvary in 2019. This group has a genuine care for people.
David Kiser spoke of the Trio that was formed in 1998 consisting of his wife, Deana; and a very good friend, Rhonda House; and himself. Since last year, two have joined the group: Riley Dotson, his son-in-law; and his daughter, Ashleigh. Ashleigh and her husband have a son, the Kisers’ only grandson. Mr. Kiser also introduced his other daughter, Keleigh, who is married to Chase Ratliff, the group’s sound engineer. They have 2 daughters, the Kisers’ granddaughters.
Heart 2 Heart’s motto is building the Kingdom one heart at a time, shining the love of Christ from the Father’s heart to His Children. Thus, the meaning of Heart 2 Heart.
Heart 2 Heart shared the gospel throughout the service in song and in the Word. David Kiser spoke from Jeremiah. We should all glory in knowing God. We are all brothers and sisters through Jesus Christ and the blood. Jesus is an amazing God. He can always do miraculous things.
The group blessed those in attendance with several Southern Gospel songs including “Love Comes Down”, “Unexpected Love”, “Through It All”, “Amen”, a Medley, “I Just Don’t Feel Like Giving Up”, “Hallelujah March”, God Delivers Again”, “I Believe”, and “An Empty Grave”.
At the close of the service, an invitation and a prayer was given.
The Postlude was by Miss Linda McKenzie.
