A STATEMENT FROM COUNCILMAN JARETT TAYLOR
An internal matter was brought to the attention of council yesterday. The Town of Latta Police chief was notified yesterday that an unpaid prior fine still had an outstanding balance. This was unknown to council, and all correspondence with the state on the matter up until yesterday had been emails sent to 2 deactivated email accounts of prior elected officials. The matter was brought to council’s attention yesterday afternoon and has been discussed and is being dealt with. The council thanks those involved in this matter.
