The City of Dillon is proud to announce that Alesha Lewis, owner of the Law Office of Alesha Lewis, LLC, has been awarded a $5,088.92 Facade Grant reimbursement through the City of Dillon Downtown Development Office’s Incentive Grant Program.
The Facade Grant Program encourages investment in Downtown Dillon by reimbursing eligible property owners and tenants for 75% of approved exterior improvements, up to the program maximum, helping preserve and enhance the appearance of buildings within the Downtown Historic District. Eligible improvements include items such as storefront windows, exterior signage, awnings, lighting, paint, and other permanent exterior enhancements.
Lewis utilized the program to complete several important improvements to her building, including the installation of new business signage, professional window decals, and the replacement of a large front window that had been badly cracked. These improvements have significantly enhanced the appearance of the property while creating a welcoming entrance for clients visiting her downtown law office.
Alesha Lewis’ journey represents the type of investment and entrepreneurship the City of Dillon strives to encourage. After successfully operating her business in a leased location on Main Street, Lewis recently achieved another milestone by purchasing, renovating, and opening her own law office in Downtown Dillon. Her commitment to investing in the community reflects the growing confidence local business owners have in the future of Downtown Dillon.
“We are proud to recognize Alesha for her investment in our downtown,” said Lisa Moody, Downtown Coordinator for the City of Dillon. “The Facade Grant Program is designed to encourage property improvements that strengthen our historic business district, and Alesha’s project is a wonderful example of how these incentives can help business owners enhance their properties while building long-term success. We congratulate her on this exciting accomplishment and appreciate her continued investment in Downtown Dillon.”
The City of Dillon’s Incentive Grant Program provides a variety of financial incentives to encourage redevelopment, historic preservation, facade improvements, and new business investment throughout the Downtown Historic District. The Facade Grant Program is reimbursement-based and requires applicants to complete approved improvements before receiving grant funds.
The City congratulates Alesha Lewis and the Law Office of Alesha Lewis, LLC on this well-deserved recognition and looks forward to supporting continued investment and revitalization throughout Downtown Dillon.
