The 22-9 Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks edged the 15-7 Dillon Wildcats 3-2 in varsity baseball playoff action held at Mount Pleasant, S.C., on Monday, May 18.
The Landsharks took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning and held onto that lead until the top of the fifth inning when the Wildcats managed a run. Dillon added a run in the top of the seventh inning to force an extra inning in which Oceanside Collegiate Academy scored the winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning to claim the win.
Dillon managed 6 hits while holding Oceanside Collegiate Academy to 4 hits.
The Wildcats committed 2 errors in the game, and the Landsharks committed 4 errors.
