The 21-5 Aynor Lady Blue Jackets shut out the 14-14 Dillon Lady Wildcats 10-0 in the run-ruled 6-inning softball playoff game held in Aynor on Monday, May 18.
Aynor scored 2 runs in the bottom of the first inning, added 3 runs in the bottom of the second inning, added 3 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning, and 2 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning.
Dillon committed 4 errors in the game while Aynor committed 2 errors.
Dillon’s lone hit was by a single by Jayla Wright.
Dillon’s Kanyla Tanksley stole a base in the game.
The Lady Wildcats’ Jayla Wright pitched 5 innings and allowed 5 hits, 8 runs of which 2 were earned, walked 5, and struck out 1 of the 27 batters she faced. Zoee Chavis pitched 1 inning and allowed 2 runs of which 1 was earned, and walked 4 of the 5 batters she faced.
