Mullins Police Department Makes Arrests In Armed Robberies

JUNE 30–Over the past two nights, the City of Mullins experienced three armed robberies at local convenience stores.
Last night, through the combined efforts of the Mullins Police Department Patrol Division, the Mullins Police Department K-9 Officer, and the Marion County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Team, a suspect was taken into custody.
The Mullins Police Department has arrested Leroy Maurice Moore Jr., 23, who has been charged with:
• Three counts of Armed Robbery with a Deadly Weapon
• Possession of a Weapon During the Commission of a Violent Crime
• Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
We are grateful for the hard work, quick response, and teamwork shown by all officers and agencies involved. The Mullins Police Department remains committed to protecting our community and holding violent offenders accountable.
This remains an active investigation, and additional information will be released as it becomes available.
All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
