On April 21, 2026, Shanya C. Lampley (26), of Marion, was arrested and charged in the attempted murder in regard to an incident that occurred in Plaza Court. On April 18, 2026, Ms. Lampley did discharge a firearm at the victim while inside a vehicle while in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Plaza Court in Marion.
Ms. Lampley has been charged with the following offenses:
-Attempted Murder (No bond set at this time)
-Escape ($15,000 bond)
-Pointing and Presenting a Firearm at a Person ($5,000 bond)
-Petit Larceny ($2,125 bond)
-Discharging a Firearm within City Limits ($1,087.50 bond)
-Malicious Injury to Property ($2,125 Bond)
Her total bond has been set at $25,337.50. No bond has been set on the Attempted Murder charge, which will be determined at a later date by a Circuit Court Judge.
