The Humane Society of Dillon County held its tenth annual Chili Cook-Off in conjunction with the City of Dillon’s Saint Patrick’s Day Festival on Saturday, March 15. The Chili Cook-Off is a major fundraiser of the Humane Society. Proceeds fund their Spay/Neuter program and also are used to help the needy animals of Dillon County.
In addition to sampling chili from thirteen cookers, attendees at the Saint Patrick’s Day Festival and Chili Cook-Off were able to enjoy the Jim Quick Coastline Band, get their faces painted, jump on inflatables, and enjoy food truck goodies, too.
Winners in the Chili Cook-Off competition were as follows:

People’s Choice-Main Street Methodist Men
Food Trucks-Sweet Coop
Civic Group- Dillon County Republican Part
Business-Agape Farms North and South
First Responders-City of Dillon Police Department
Most Festive Booth-First Bank
