Dillon and Lake View High School students and chaperones take a Greece trip.
Austin Moody of Dillon High School, Brittani Alford and Julie Fincannon of Lake View High School, and Amy Allen chaperoned students from Dillon High School including Alyssa Allen, Zana Miller, Zy’Errah Wilson, Ethan Bakazan, and William Hines and Lake View students Carleigh Matthews, Madison Hayes, and DJ McClellan on a Greece trip from April 4 through April 11.
The group spent 2 days in Athens where they toured the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Original Olympic Stadium (the Panathenaic Stadium), and the Prison of Socrates. The group also had a 1-day, 3-island cruise, the “Saronic Islands Cruise”, that included the Island of Aegina, the Island of Poros, and the Island of Hydra.
The group then spent a day in Tolo and saw the Corinth Canal, the ruins of Mycenae, and enjoyed a hands-on pottery class that included a pottery project.
The last day was enjoyed as they visited the Port City of Nafplio where they took a short boat ride and enjoyed the scenery of Nafplio and a Greek lunch.
