Hamer Church of God Observes Memorial Day

Hamer Church of God observed Memorial Day at their service on Sunday.
As one entered the church, one received a warm welcome. The church was decorated in patriotic colors.
As one entered, a display was set up in honor of First Lieutenant Joshua Deese who served in the United States Army.
As service began, prayer was offered.
There was a time of praise in songs led by Rev. Kevin Byrd followed by announcements by Mrs. Nancy Byrd. Everyone was invited to join Hamer Church of God in Revival.
There was a time of Memorial Day remembrance for those who gave it their all.
After the offering, there was a time of more praise songs before an offering was taken.
Pastor Kevin Byrd spoke on “The Benefit of Pentecost”. His sermon scripture was from John, II Chronicles, Judges 15:14, Numbers 11 25 and 26, I Samuel 1″13, Jeremiah 31:31-34, Ezekiel, John 14:16-17, John 20:22, Luke 24:49, Acts 1:8, Acts 2:1-4, I Corinthians 6:19-20, Romans, I Peter, and Colossians 1:27. Rev. Byrd began in the Old Testament and continued through the end of the New Testament.
An invitation was given.
The service ended with prayer.
Hamer Church of God is located at 2410 Hwy. 301 North, Hamer, S.C.
