The Dillon County 250 Committee held an evening of Revolutionary Revelry: 250 Years Strong at the City of Dillon Festival Marketplace on Saturday, May 2nd.
This evening of revolutionary revelry commemorated 250 years of American independence and honored Dillon County’s enduring role in our nation’s founding. It was a delight. There were various posters explaining some of the roles Dillon County played in the American Revolution. A live band provided music, and there was a large spread of food. Mayor Tally McColl and Judge James Lockemy made remarks. There will be more events in the upcoming months to celebrate this milestone so be on the lookout.
