WMU members

The Women’s Missionary Union (WMU) of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church gathered for their monthly meeting Tuesday, enjoying a time of fellowship, study, and meaningful discussion centered on missions and service.
The meeting began with a Bible study focusing on the gifts of the Spirit, encouraging members to reflect on how God has equipped each believer to serve both the church and the wider community. The discussion was thoughtful and engaging, with participants sharing insights and personal experiences.
In addition to their study, the group rejoiced in the church’s faithful giving, celebrating that Pleasant Grove Baptist Church has met and surpassed its goal for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering, which supports North American missions. Members expressed gratitude for the generosity of the congregation and the impact these funds will have in spreading the Gospel across the country.
The WMU also turned their attention to ongoing outreach efforts. Plans were discussed to collect food items for individuals and families in need in West Virginia, continuing the church’s commitment to serving beyond the local community.
Alongside the meeting, several ladies also worked together to repurpose last week’s altar flowers into individual arrangements, which will be delivered to shut-ins—sharing a simple but heartfelt reminder that they are remembered and loved.
The meeting concluded with a time of fellowship as members enjoyed light refreshments, strengthening the bonds of friendship and shared purpose that define the WMU.
Through study, giving, and service, the WMU at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church continues to be a vital part of the church’s mission to share Christ’s love both near and far.
