War Of 1812 Grave Marker Dedication For Captain Elisha Bethea Held

The Captain Elisha Bethea Chapter No. 490 Chapter of the South Carolina Society of the National Society of the United States Daughters of 1812 held a grave marker dedication honoring Captain Elisha Bethea on Saturday, March 29th at the Bethea Buck Swamp Cemetery in Latta. Elisha Bethea, who lived from 1787 to 1854, was a captain in the last war with Great Britain in the years 1812-1814.
