Pee Dee Academy And Christ the Cornerstone Academy End 3-3

The Pee Dee Academy Golden Eagles and the Christ the Cornerstone Academy end in a 3-3 tie after 6 innings of varsity baseball in Laurinburg, N.C.
The Defenders scored a run in the bottom of the second inning. The Golden Eagles responded with a run in the top of the third inning to tie at 1. Pee Dee Academy added 2 runs in the top of the fourth inning to go up 3-1. In the bottom of the fourth inning, Christ the Cornerstone Academy added a run to cut Pee Dee Academy’s lead to 1 run, 3-1. In the bottom of the fifth inning, the Defenders added a run to tie at 3. Neither team could muster a score in the sixth inning.
Pee Dee Academy’s B. Jones pitched 4 innings. He allowed 7 hits, 3 runs of which 2 were earned. He walked 4 and struck out no one. G. Elliott pitched 2 innings. He allowed no hits, walked 1, and struck out no one.
The Golden Eagles’ M. Wiggins connected for a double, a walk, and scored a run. C. Pursley had a double and 2 rbi. C. Williamson had a rbi. C. James had a walk, was hit by a pitch, and scored a run. The 7-2-1 Pee Dee Academy Golden Eagles will host Lee Academy on Wednesday, March 25, at 6:30 p.m.
The 5-2-1 Christ the Cornerstone Academy will host Dillon Christian School on Monday, March 30, at 6:30 p.m.
