The Pearls of Promise and Purpose, an official interest group of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., proudly made a monetary donation to the Latta Voter Registration Coalition. Mr. Herbert Jacobs graciously accepted the check on their behalf.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. has a longstanding commitment to fostering sisterhood, scholarship, and service, with a particular focus on programs that advance social justice, civic engagement, and community empowerment. Through our Advocate for Social Justice Committee, chaired by Ms. Jada Davis, we established a strong partnership with the Latta Voter Registration Coalition. Together, we conduct voter registration drives, provide voter education, and ensure registered voters have transportation to the polls.
As a direct result of these coordinated efforts, Dillon County experienced its highest voter turnout to date, demonstrating the power of advocacy, collaboration, and civic responsibility in creating meaningful change.
