A Marion County inmate has been charged with assaulting correctional officers.
Kyrei Janeai Platt, 27 years old of Mullins, has been charged by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office following an assault on two Marion County Detention deputies on September 30th. Platt was charged with Assault and Battery 2nd degree and Assault and Battery 3rd degree following the incident. Both victims required medical attention but were later released to return to duty. Platt is currently incarcerated at the Marion County Detention Center on charges from Mullins Police Department.
