The Historic Marion Revitalization Association (HMRA) is pleased to bring back the bench project from last year.
If you would like to purchase a bench in honor of a loved one or community member now is your chance.
We’re working to replace the old benches along Main with new ones. The benches look just like the ones placed around the fountain and pictured below to have a cohesive look in our Historic District. The ones placed along the sidewalk have been bolted down to ensure they stay along Main Street.
Message us on Facebook if you would like to order one in honor or memory of your loved one. The bench and personalized plaques are around $705.00.
The bench placed in front of Foxy Steel is the first one to be replaced on Main Street in honor of my grandfather Chief Raymond Britt and my grandmother Imogene Britt.
The second bench replaced is in memory of Larry Atkinson and his dedication to Marion from his family.
The third bench replaced is in memory of our past HMRA Director, Stephanie Rizzo Gamoneda in honor of her love for Marion after her after her passing.
