Man Who Nearly Hits Patrol Vehicle Arrested On Drug Charges

On the night 02/09/2026, CPL. R.J Carroll made a traffic stop on Oscar Dr. in the Oakland Community of Dillon County due to the suspect Emmanuel Broddy nearly hitting his patrol vehicle. Upon approaching the vehicle there was a smell of Marijuana emitting from the vehicle in which did lead to a search of the suspect and the vehicle. Upon searching the suspect, he did begin to resist Deputy Carroll’s attempt to search him. At this time the suspect was placed into handcuffs and detained and a Pill bottle containing pills was located. The suspect was then placed into a patrol vehicle where he did attempt to dump more illegal narcotics in the car. The suspect was found to be in possession of approx. 12.5 grams of cocaine, 7.63 grams of Crack, 27.93 grams of methamphetamine, and 32 dosage units of what is believed to be Percocet.
The suspect was arrested and charged with the following:
-Alcohol / Open container of beer or wine in motor vehicle
-Drugs / Poss. of other controlled sub. in Sched. I to V – 1st offense
-Drugs / Manufacture, distribution, etc. cocaine base, 2nd offense
-Drugs / manufacture, distribution, etc. of cocaine base, 1st
-Drugs / Fentanyl, Possession of more than 2 grains – 1st offense
-Drugs / Trafficking in meth. or cocaine base – 10 g or more, but less than 28 g – 1st offense
