Laurence Manning Academy Defeats Pee Dee Academy 11-7

The Laurence Manning Academy Swampcats defeated the Pee Dee Academy Golden Eagles 11-7 in varsity baseball played on Monday, April 13, in Mullins, S.C.
The Swampcats jumped out to an early 4-0 lead after the top of the first inning. Laurence Manning Academy added 4 runs in the top of the third inning to take an 8-0 lead over Pee Dee Academy. Pee Dee Academy got onto the scoreboard with a run in the bottom of the third inning and added 2 runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. The Swampcats responded with a run in the top of the fifth inning. The Golden Eagles added 4 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning t cut the lead to 2 runs, 9-7. Laurence Manning Academy added a run in each of the sixth and seventh innings of the game.
Laurence Manning Academy connected for 10 hits in the game while committing 2 errors. Pee Dee Academy had 7 hits in the game and committed 6 errors in the game.

Laurence Manning Academy of Manning will host Pinewood Prep of Summerville on Wednesday, April 21, at 6:00 p.m.
