The Latta Lady Vikings returned home on Thursday, April 18, with a 10-0 win over the Cheraw Lady Braves.
Latta jumped out to an early lead in the first inning when Maddie Berry doubled and 2 runs scored. Aggy Hyatt singled and a run scored, and Erika Roberts singled that scored 2 runs. Maddie Berry also singled in the second inning and a run scored. Aggy Hyatt grounded out and a run scored in the second inning. Berry singled again in the fourth inning and a run scored. Maddie Berry also connected for a double in the seventh inning and 2 runs scored.
Erika Roberts picked up the win for the Latta Lady Vikings. She pitched 7 innings and allowed 5 hits, no runs, struck out 5, and walked 1.
Mac Rivers took the loss for Cheraw. She pitched 7 innings, and allowed 10 runs of which 7 were earned. struck out no one, and walked 2.
