The addition to the Latta Library is expected to be completed by the contractors no later than Labor Day. This is according to information from Fred Ellis, chairman of the Latta Library Foundation.
The registration desk and fire alarm system will be installed and the steps and the sidewalks will soon be completed. There is a punch list of items that the contractors will need to complete inside the building.
After the contractors have finished these items, the library staff and maintenance crew will be moving in items and getting the area arranged. There is no word yet on when the library would officially reopen.
