The Lake View Wild Gators won 8-4 over the Chesterfield Golden Rams in varsity baseball played in Lake View on Saturday, March 21.
The Lake View Wild Gators went up 1-0 after the first inning. Neither team scored in the second inning. Lake View added 2 runs in the bottom of the third inning to take a 3-0 lead. In the top of the fourth inning, Golden Rams placed on run onto the scoreboard to cut Lake View’s lead, 3-1. In the top of the fifth inning, Chesterfield added a run to cut Lake View’s lead to 1 run, 3-2. In the top of the sixth inning, Chesterfield took the lead by placing 2 runs onto the scoreboard to lead 4-3 over Lake View. Lake View added 5 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to go up 8-4. Neither team scored in the seventh inning.
Lake View’s Kiwi Jackson pitched 4.1 innings and gave up 1 earned run and 1 unearned run on 4 hits. He struck out 3 and walked 3. Chase Price pitched 2 innings. He walked 1, struck out 3, and a run scored that was not earned. D. Cox pitched.2 inning. He allowed 2 hits, struck out 1, did not walk anyone, and a run scored that was not earned.
