The Keenan Lady Raiders handed the Dillon Lady Wildcats a 43-35 loss in the third round of the SCHSL basketball tournament played at Keenan High School in Columbia on Tuesday, February 24. Dillon’s Treasure Davis led all players with 17 points. She had six 2-point baskets, one 3-point basket, and 2 free throws. Davis also had 4 offensive rebounds, 5 defensive rebounds, 4 assists, 5 deflections, 5 steals, and 1 blocked shot. Khw-Nylahi McKinnon had a 3-point basket, a 2-point basket, and a free throw for 6 points, 2 offensive rebounds, 5 defensive rebounds, 2 assists, 4 deflections, 7 steals, and 1 blocked shot. Zynijah Pernell had two 2-point shots and a free throw for 5 points, and 1 assist. Jiana McGill had a 2-point shot and 2 free throws, 5 offensive rebounds, 3 defensive rebounds, 1 assist, 1 deflection, 1 steal, and 1 blocked shot. Nylann Jones had a 2-point shot, a free throw, 4 offensive rebounds, 6 defensive rebounds, and a blocked shot.
Keenan’s Kristin Brown had13 points. She had two 2-point shots, 9 free throws, 6 offensive rebounds, 4 defensive rebounds, 2 assists, 1 deflection, and 2 steals. Keenan’s #4 also had 13 points. She had two 2-point baskets, a 3-point basket, 6 free throws, 4 offensive rebounds, 2 defensive rebounds, 2 assists, 6 deflections, and 3 steals. Khloe Williams had three 2-point baskets and a free throw for 7 points. She also had 5 offensive rebounds, 5 defensive rebounds, and 1 steal. Aareonna Cuaghman had two 2-point baskets and 2 free throws or 4 points, 7 offensive rebounds, 9 defensive rebounds, 1 assist, 4 deflections, and 5 steals. Zary’s Mines had two 2-point baskets for 4 points. She had 4 offensive rebounds, 2 defensive rebounds, 2 assists, 6 deflections, and 3 steals.
The Dillon Lady Wildcats had 23 wins and 3 losses overall and was 10-0 in Region 5 AAA.
