Lake View won 14-7 over Chesterfield in game 2 of the Jamboree of Champions played in Dillon at Dillon Memorial Stadium on Friday, August 16 at 6:30 p.m.
With 6:42 remaining in the first quarter, the Wild Gators’ #2 scored to give Lake View a 6-0 lead. The PAT was good by #29 to increase Lake Views’ lead, 7-0.
The Chesterfield Golden Rams scored on a 46-yard pass to #2 to cut the lead to 1 point. Head Coach Matt Quinn had gotten his first TD after taking over the helm on June 20, 2024. The PAT was good to knot the score at 7 each.
Under the direction of 16th-year Head Coach Daryl King, the Lake View Wild Gators’ #27 was on the receiving end of a TD pass. The PAT was good to give Lake View a 14-7 lead.
Lake View scored again from 15 yards but a late flag nullified the score.
Lake View won 14-7.
