The Green Sea Floyds Trojans defeated the DCS Warriors 76-25 in varsity basketball action played in Dillon on Friday, January 9.
The Trojans were up 20-7 after the first quarter of play. At halftime, Green Sea Floyds led 44-15.
Each team committed 5 fouls in the first, second, and third quarters of play. In the fourth quarter of play, Dillon committed only 1 fouls while Green Sea Floyds committed 2 fouls.
The Trojans’ PJ Stephens led all scorers with 16 points. He had eight 2-point baskets. Jayden Crawford added 14 points to the scoreboard with four 3-point baskets and a 2-point basket. Tahj Brown three 2-point baskets and two 3-point baskets to place 12 points onto the scoreboard. Jack Shelley had two 2-point baskets, a 3-point basket, and 3 free throws for 10 points. Judah Lee and Grayson Willoughby each had three 2-point baskets for 6 points. Chris Badger had two 2-point baskets and 2 free throws for 6 points. London McClellan added a 2-point basket.
DCS’s McKinnon Sampson led the Warriors with 13 points. He had four 2-point baskets and a free throw. Braxton Cummings added 8 pins with four 2-point baskets. Gray Easterling and Jackson Shooter each had a 2-point basket.
The 7-4 Dillon Christian School Warriors will travel to WA on Friday, January 16.
Green Sea Floyds will travel to Latta on Friday, January 16, for an 8:00 p.m. game.
