The Empowerment in Action Association was invited to return to Dillon Manor Apartments for services May 2, 2024. Mayor Tally McColl greated everyone. Pastor Jamont McRae preached on the need to listen to God. Resource Officer Bobby Porter spoke about reaching our children and giving them a chance for the future. Resident Latsha Smith appealed to her fellow residents to make this area safe for their children. Deacon Blue sang as the people gathered to listen. Many residents pulled up chairs and sat on their porches to hear the messages. The pastors in attendance went out to them for prayer. Pastor James Orr said, “We are seeing hope for our community. We are seeing a spread of Christian fellowship among pastors and churches. We are seeing support for our schools and public institutions including our local politicians and our police; and we are seeing an increase of fellowship with our God.”
