The 14-5 Dillon Wildcats edged the 19-6 Swansea Tigers 4-3 in varsity baseball playoff action played in Dillon on Wednesday, May 6, at the Dillon Memorial Stadium.
In the bottom of the first inning, Dillon scored 2 runs to take a 2-0 lead over the visiting Tigers. Swansea responded with a run in the top of the second inning. Swansea took a 1-run lead in the top of the 4th inning when 2 runs scored. Dillon tied the score at 3 with a run in the bottom of the fourth inning. Dillon scored a run in the bottom of the fifth inning that would be the winning score for Dillon.
Dillon managed 3 hits in the game while Swansea connected for 2 hits. Each team committed 2 errors.
