Purple Heart Recognition Ceremony
National Purple Heart Day is celebrated on August 7th, providing Americans with the opportunity to express gratitude to the courageous individuals who fought for our nation’s freedom and bear the physical scars of war. Dillon County VFW Post 6091 will host a Purple Heart Recognition Ceremony at the Festival Marketplace in Dillon at 9:00 AM. Our goal is to honor all Purple Heart recipients from Dillon County. If you are a Purple Heart recipient or know someone who is, please email qmvfw6091@aol.com or call 843-506-8084 with the following information:
· Rank, name, and branch of service.
· The war or combat operation in which the person was wounded.
· The year the Purple Heart was received.
This event provides a special opportunity for Purple Heart recipients to come together, while also allowing Dillon County to formally recognize their service and show respect for the sacrifices made to protect our nation. Post 6091 members invite Purple Heart recipients and the citizens of Dillon County to join us in honoring the brave Americans who have served and sacrificed for our country. Let’s come together to show our appreciation and support for these heroes.
