Dillon County EMS Supervisor Michael Sapp is the program speaker for the Dillon County South Carolina Veterans of the Year Organization (DCSCVOYO) annual Patriot Day ceremony, which will be held on the steps of the Dillon County Courthouse on Thursday, 9/11 at 9 a.m.
Sapp will talk about the importance of remembering the events of 9/11/2001, and especially the lives lost, and the families that were changed forever. He is a DHS graduate 1998 and holds a BA from North Greenville University and a Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theology Seminary. He worked as a youth pastor and then the Associate Pastor to Students at First Baptist Church Dillon. In addition to his church work, he has worked for the City of Dillon Fire Department and Dillon Rescue, and later the Dillon County Fire Department. Presently, he works full time with Dillon County EMS as an EMT, paramedic, and serves as a shift supervisor. He is continuing his church work at Pyerian Baptist Church where he serves as a deacon and pulpit supply preaching as needed.
