Help For Veterans Holds Food Giveaway

Help For Veterans, Inc. continued the Veterans’ food giveaway at the Hamer Church of God today (Wednesday, July 17). Fifty-six Veterans’ families were helped today from approximately 9 a.m. until shortly after noon.
Hamer Church of God Pastor Kevin Byrd and Jo Jo Hunt left early this morning to Bennettsville to pick up refrigerated items including bread, desserts, salads, meats, cheese, etc.
Upon returning to the Hamer Church of God Fellowship Building, the Help For Veterans, Inc., volunteers bagged grocery items purchased by Help For Veterans, Inc., and the refrigerated items donated and delivered by Pastor Kevin Byrd and Jo Jo Hunt.
The items were distributed to Veterans’ families, and some were delivered to Veterans who were unable to pick them up by Help For Veterans, Inc.’s Terry Morris and Leverne Hayes.
Help For Veterans, Inc. thanks everyone for their donations to help make this possible.
Anyone who wants to donate to the Help For Veterans, Inc., can do so by stopping by The Dillon County News, LLC office located at 108 North Fifth Avenue (in the building with WoodmenLife) across the street from KJ’s Market.
