The Harold D. Wilson Memorial Scholarship was presented to Jayden Benjamin, who is attending the University of West Georgia; Shawniza Bethea, who will be attending Brunswick Community College; and Marty Campbell, Jr., who will be attending South Carolina State University. Funds for the scholarships is raised through the Dillon County Alumni Basketball game and presented by the Dillon County Alumni Organization. Founded in 2023, the Dillon County Alumni Organization was formed to awards scholarships to seniors from Dillon, Latta, and Lake View High Schools, who plan to attend a college or university after graduation. Students must have played basketball during high school, have at least a 3.0 GPA, and must submit a one page essay about why they should receive the scholarship.
