Ms. Upton’s students at Latta Middle School kicked off their Character Scout Reports, diving into our new novel to uncover important details about the story’s characters. Acting like literary detectives, students explored the text to identify the main character’s key traits and supported their ideas with strong textual evidence. They also made thoughtful inferences about what these clues might reveal about the characters and how they may develop as the story unfolds. It was an exciting start to our journey into the novel.
