The 10-3 Latta Vikings edged the 14-4 Green Sea Floyds Trojans 58-54 in a varsity boys conference basketball game played at Green Sea on Friday, January 16.
The Latta Vikings trailed 14-12 after the first quarter of play. At halftime, Latta was up by 6 points, 31-25. After 3 quarters of play, Latta was up by 4 points, 46-42.
Latta is 5-1 in league play and 5-2 in non-league play while Green Sea Floyds is 3-2 in league play and 6-2 in non-league play.
Latta will play 6-8 Lee Central today at 12:30 p.m. in the King’s Klassic at Marion High School. On Friday, January 23, Latta will host Johnsonville at 8:00 p.m.
Green Sea Floyds will host Lake View on Tuesday, January 20, at 8:15 p.m. On Friday, January 23, Green Sea Floyds will travel to Hannah Pamplico for an 8:00 p.m. game.
