Lemonade Stand Event Empowers Women In Many Areas

A Lemonade Stand event hosted by Detrice McCollum-Dawkins was held on the grounds of the historic Dillon County Courthouse on Saturday morning.
The striking yellow stood out on the grounds to passerbys. Many ladies wore yellow dresses and hats and the tables and decor was a sea of yellow and lemons in keeping with the theme.
Guests enjoyed a burnch of cajun chicken pasta, seafood pasta salad, a salad bar, a fruit bar, and a dessert as well as a choice of blackberry lemonade, mango lemonade, peach lemonade, pineapple lemonade, raspberry lemonade, and strawberry lemonade.
The program was designed to target different areas and to hear from some of the women who “turned sour lemons into sweet success.” The following areas were addressed on the program:
* Prayer Lemonade-Barbara Causey
* Purpose Lemonade-Sy Dawkins
* Harmony Lemonade-Raney Coleman
* The Safe Space Lemonade-Iris Kelly Wallace
* The Graceful Grief Lemonade-Cynthia Pernell
* Serenade Lemonade-Nikki McKoy-Lee
* Healing Lemonade-Yolanda Alford Floyd
* Wealth Wellness Lemonade-Turnika LaSha
* Soulful Lemonade-Felicia McCollum
* Clarity Lemonade-Tabitha D. James
The ladies left with new inspiration from the speakers and entertainers at the event.
