The Dillon County First Steps Nurturing Fathers Group had the opportunity to take some of their fathers to South Carolina Head Start Conference in Myrtle Beach. The fathers were able to gain awareness of the challenges surrounding fatherhood, including family relationships, support, healthy co-parenting, and self-sufficiency. First Steps Executive Director Shirleen Lewis, Shantel McRae, Rashawn Aaron and Cory Wilson were able to be presenters at this amazing conference. The fathers walked away with better knowledge of being a responsible father and making a difference in the lives of their families.
