Dillon City Manager Burt Rogers updated the Dillon City Council on some projects at their last meeting.
Rogers said in March they voted to put the new HVAC units on the City of Dillon Wellness Center. He said this project has been completed. He said all four of the old units were removed, the new units were installed, and it’s working well. It was a $116,000 project.
Rogers said he spoke to the council briefly last month about the wastewater treatment plant SCIIP grant. He said they were able to meet the deadline and have Division I of the project out for bid. Division I is comprised of upgrading some of the existing equipment in the plant like the sludge processing, etc. They are working on Division II of the project, which will be the most expensive part of the project and will include cleaning the oil basin, redoing concrete, piping, pumps, etc. He said right now they are on track to meet the deadline. He said hopefully they will be able to utilize this $10 million dollars.
He also updated the council on a golf course project. (See related story.)
He also updated the on the Market Pavilion project. They have been given a notice to proceeed so dirt should be moving soon.
