By Betsy Finklea
The new Dillon County Station Two (Latta) Fire Truck arrived around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16th. Excited firemen, leaders, and others in community eagerly anticipated the arrival of the new state-of-the-art truck, which is one of the most modern in the county. The truck has a Spartan chassis and KME body. It has a 1,000 gallon tank and a 1500 gallon pump. Onces in service, it will be able to hand… it will be able to handle fires, rescue calls, etc. The truck was ordered in 2023 and took two years to build. It should go into service within the next few weeks.
