The visiting Chesterfield Lady Golden Rams returned home on Thursday, March 13, with a 14-4 win over the Dillon Lady Wildcats in the 7-inning softball game played in Dillon.
In the first inning, the Lady Golden Rams placed 3 runs on the scoreboard. In the bottom of the third inning, Dillon managed to get a run across home plate to cut the lead to 2 runs, 3-1. In the bottom of the fourth inning, Dillon added 2 runs to tie the score at 3. In the top of the fifth inning, Chesterfield added a run. In the top of the sixth inning, Chesterfield was able to score 8 runs with hits and errors. In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Lady Wildcats added a run. In the top of the seventh inning, the Lady Golden Rams added 2 runs.
Chesterfield managed 11 hits in the game while holding Dillon to 4 hits. Chesterfield did not commit an error while Dillon committed 10 errors.
Dillon is 0-3-1 for the season while Chesterfield is 1-1-1.
Dillon will travel to Georgetown on Tuesday, March 18, for a 7:00 p.m. game. On Wednesday, March 19, Dillon will travel to Green Sea Floyds for a 7:00 p.m. game
On Monday, March 17, Chesterfield will host McBee. Chesterfield will travel to Buford on Friday, March 21, for a 7:00 p.m. game
