Information needed! At approximately 7:30 p.m. on the evening of Friday, April 25th, a beloved member of our community was viciously robbed and attacked while watering flowers in his yard in the 4600 block of Zion Road in Mullins. Dr. James Floyd, 95 year old Air Force Veteran and longtime owner and proprietor of Central Drug Store on Main Street in Mullins, luckily did not sustain any life-threatening injuries. The suspect is believed to be a black male in his 20-30s, approximately 6’0. Suspect was wearing a white shirt and dark pants.
Investigators, deputies, along with the MCSO K9 team worked tirelessly into the night. We need your help. If you have any information or happened to see anything in that area that seemed suspicious around this time, please contact Marion County Sheriff’s Office non-emergency number at 843-423-8399.

This photograph is of a person of interest in the assault of Dr. James Floyd. Dr. Floyd was assaulted in his yard Friday, April 25th on Zion Road. Several community members have come together to offer a cash award for information leading to an arrest in this case.
